This was a tinder chat, but I get these types on Bumble too. Pic is my bio for context. She deleted the chat before I could snap the conversation so I'll go off memory:

* She liked me and I matched with her via gold
* I sent my opener late last night. For context, her name was Molly and in one of her pics she was dressed up as Luigi, laying on a couch looking very chill in a party type atmosphere. It went something like "I'm not sure if it's your name or the pic of you on the couch that makes me think of Molly" . A play on her name and the drug.
* She replied quickly, "I'm not sure if it's because I'm tired, but I don't get it"
* I replied right back, "LOL, that's fine, it was a complicated pun"
* Her "You should explain it going into great detail, as clearly as possible, line by line. That will always helps. "
* Me "No way! It's too early in the chat for me to be mansplaining. That's my only red flag and I'm trying to be a better person. You can ask me again when you have a chance to read it when you're not tired."
* Me the next midmorning "You do look really great in those costumes, is that something you do yearly, or is it a common thing for you?" (She had multiple costume pics)
* Her "It's a common occurrence that I do get in costume every year."
* Me "I see my witty banter isn't all it's cracked up to be. That's fine, it's not the first time I've been the only one who laughs at my jokes, and it definitely won't be the last."
* Her "Your self-aggrandizing gets in the way of someone who wants to make a connection."
* Me "Fine. No problem. What would you like to know? I was just trying to break the ice beyond the usual "hey, how are you"."

Unmatched immediately.

Did I dodge a bullet?
