Question in title and added picture (first picture) to show what I’m working on. This is my first time using blanket yarn and I feel like I cannot see the stitches. I feel like I’m crocheting in between stitches instead into the top two loops. My thought process is this: my piece is in tact, my tapestry is coming out correctly so far, I’m ending each row with the correct number of stitches (mistakenly thought before picture 2), and it’s for a pillow which will be getting a border so I think “mistakes” will be more forgiving. Any thoughts and tips for working with this yarn besides using a stitch counter in every stitch?

🫣🫢🤭 guys I just looked at it (picture 2) again when I finished the latest row. Um it’s definitely NOT correct stitch counts lol. Keep in mind the blanket underneath has straight rows 😂 So now I’m on pause until this question is answered. With all the above taken into consideration, will this be fine once the pillow is done or should I just frog now and do better?
