I started out just telling codex what I wanted and it would do it, then I would verify it wrote what I wanted, etc.  Probably how most people use these tools.  But this requires me to sit in front of the computer, constantly evaluating did AI do the right thing, approving sandbox escalations, pushing it onto the next task.  

So I had this existing Project Management workflow which was human-gated and I used it to track internal client projects I am working on. And I pushed the tasks along.  I thought, why not let the AIs use this as a substrate to hand work off to each other?

So that's what I have going now.  In instruct Fable to scope the projects and create the tasks, Codex implements them, Hermes verifies them.

Sometimes codex gets stuck and needs escalation but it can generally go for hours on task after task after task.  I can finally take the dog to the park while my "agents" are doing their work.

This is working out beautifully and my agents are coding and testing and validating 24 hours a day.  

Not seen here but under the hood, pytest, playwright, git, and serena.  The projects substrate provides all the workflows and code gates, so I don't have to rely on agent memory to remember how to do things too much.  Then I push these to downstream clients manually during off-hours.

So now as I see bugs in my platform I feed them to Fable and I know the bug will be automatically fixed in the next 4-10 hours.  It's like I am running a team of developers.
