This newbie needs some advice/help!

Hi there! As my title suggests, I'm a complete newbie. I recently moved up to Hartsdale from the city so it's a bit of a change for me. I have to go into the city 3x a week as I'm on a hybrid work schedule. I do have my husband's car so I was planning on driving down to the station before getting on the train but I have no idea where to park at the Metro-north station. As I don't have a resident permit yet, I have no idea where to park until I get one.

When is the best time to get to the station to get a parking spot? I know its $13/day but I hear they fill up fast? Any advice or tips would greatly help!!
