AIO to the moderator removing a post?
The moderator of this community removed a post with 14.8K upvotes, 8,000+ comments and 3.5k shares and I think it is BS. Clearly this was a topic that people want and need to talk about. The post was about an abusive husband and while the moderator was polite about it and offered links to resources, it feels like policing women to me. Like, “No no, we don’t allow the acknowledgment of bad male behavior. No #metoo allowed here.”
There reasoning given was, “Your post has been removed because it describes conduct that goes beyond any reasonable ambiguity and meets established definitions of domestic abuse.”
I get that this is not a “crisis-support space” but I didn’t get the impression that the person was seeking crisis-support, just validation. It can often be difficult to identify abuse especially when it isn’t physical.
As an abuse survivor I know how much women need to be able to talk about this stuff without be silenced. AIO?
