calls always revert to speaker phone and not on connected bluetooth devices

14.2.0.168(C636E2R1P1) CPU Turbo
EMUI ver 14.2.0

it happens on my wireless earbuds, it happens still on my wireless headphones. i tried looking this up but i still can't find a fix for this. is there any way to not make the calls go to the speaker phone? worse thing is that the volume of the audio in the speaker phone becomes low for some reason, so not only am i not hearing it on my bluetooth device, but i can't even properly hear it on my phone without sticking it close to my ears. this makes video calls not good.

strangely zoom app is normal, but the standard app for calls or fb messenger makes the call turn to the speaker phone. and everytime i try to turn off/on the bluetooth call to make it go back to the bluetooth device, it just reverts back to phone again after like a second. i even tried looking into developer options but i could not find anything that might fix this problem.

if there's no fix within the phone itself, are there at least some apps/softwares i could maybe use to get around this problem instead? thanks!
