Looking to connect with other 2027 MEXT Postgraduate applicants (Embassy Recommendation)

Hi everyone!

I recently applied for the 2027 MEXT Research Scholarship (Embassy Recommendation) through the Japanese Embassy in Chile. Unfortunately, I wasn't selected to move on to the written examination stage.

I'd really like to connect with other applicants—whether you advanced or not—to better understand how this year's selection process went in different countries.

I'm especially curious about: Which country did you apply from? Did you pass the document screening? Was this your first time applying? What is your academic/professional background? How focused or specific was your research proposal? If you advanced, do you have any advice or lessons learned from your application?

I'm not trying to appeal the result or complain about the process. I'm simply hoping to learn from other applicants' experiences and improve my application if I decide to apply again in the future.
