[0 YoE] Unemployed for about a year. No interviews. Looking for entry level SWE positions.
Hello everyone. I'm trying to understand what I'm doing wrong and find out what I can do to solve it.
I have no internships which is bad. I'm thinking that maybe the projects I've done aren't that good and that the projects are all over the place. I've done around 160 applications. It's possible that I should just apply more but I don't completely understand how people apply to so many jobs. Some jobs appear as an instant rejection and sometimes I'll just apply anyways. I also go through a verification process to make sure that the company is "legit". Maybe I could remove the GPA and the distinction.
I'm pretty lost on what to do. My next course of action was going to be working on a new project with the Qt framework because it would reintroduce C++ into the skillset and then I could bind it to some responsibility and other tools wanted in a certain job. It feels like I keep jumping around though.
Any thoughts?
