Am I Overreacting? [Condo] [FL]

Help: Everything Else

I recently bought a home and the president of the HOA convinced me to run for the board, and I am now on the board. It’s a condo association and for context I am 27F.

There’s two men who live in the association who have been on the board before who have issues with some of the current board members. They showed up to my door, unannounced, and were knocking to discuss issues they had with these other board members. My mom was visiting from out of town and we were making dinner and I had to be pretty forceful to get them to leave my door, as well as give one of them my number to contact me. They didn’t contacted me right away with whatever they wanted to discuss but I’ve now gotten a few texts from them that are just pushy and a little nosy and frankly I don’t want to deal with it. Most of my community is older and a lot of them are kind people but these men have been making me uncomfortable. Is it my duty to reply to their texts? What should I do moving forward?

Some of the questions:
- How did the board decide the date of our annual meeting?
- Why was the annual meeting delayed and who made that decision?
- Was there a vote about moving the annual meeting?

I frankly do not know the answer to these questions. Obviously no vote since I know I didn’t vote but. I dont know what to do and everytime they text I just feel uncomfortable. I’ve directed them to other board members in the past with more seniority but it just makes me very uncomfortable
