Bf says he will put me on a diet if I gain 200 lbs

Is this a normal take? I asked him if he’d be attracted to me if I were 300+ lbs and he said no and that he would remove all snacks from the house and only allow vegan food. Shouldn’t he want to be with me no matter what weight I’m at? It sounds kind of controlling tbh
