Travelling to Japan with my wife. Make my itinerary.

I am landing in Tokyo. Still haven’t decided my departure city. Will be there for 12 nights.

Not to disrespect, but I might not enjoy the temples and shrines a lot, I mean I might like a few but then jumping places just to see another shrine might feel repetitive and boring.
What intrigues me is the countryside, or a busy street in Tokyo with crowded shops, a quiet restaurant that might not have the best food but the experience.

I want to get experience and not tick off landmarks.

That said, I might not know and might be wrong.

Suggest me places that you think i might like.
