Camera recommendations

Discussion

Hi everybody,

I'm going on a couple of trips in the upcoming months to Germany for Oktoberfest and Nepal for Everest Base Camp. Both of which I only plan on backpacking and travel as light as i can.

I was wondering what camera is recommended. I am a beginner of the beginners at photography. I currently have a Canon Rebel T7 that I am still learning on but I think the body of the camera in addition to the lenses are too bulky for my up coming trips.

Budget: less than $1,000 (USD)

Country: USA

Type of camera: Compact point and shoot with telephoto lens

Intended use: landscape, portraits, action, travel, street photography

Condition: Used / New (don't have a preference)

Type of camera I currently own: Canon Rebel T7

My worries: My biggest worries is for the Nepal trip where I will be hiking for 11 days and temperatures will vary from hot to cold and some days I wont have an a power source to charge the batteries. So ideally something with removal batteries will be preferred. And I will most likely keep the camera in my hip belt of my pack so durability and ease of quickly firing it up to take the shot is also on my mind.

Any recommendations are appreciated!!

Here are a couple of pictures that I snapped on my canon :)
