Is there a good place for hobbyists/makers to showcase builds and actually find collaborators, not just post finished projects?
I post my builds here like everyone else, but it always felt like a one-way thing — you show the finished PCB or the working circuit, get some upvotes, and that’s it. No easy way to find someone to actually build the next thing with, or to see what other people are mid-build on right now.
Been working on something that tries to fix that — profile built around your actual projects (design files, repos, build logs) instead of a portfolio site nobody visits, plus a way to find people working on similar stuff to team up with.
Still early, still rough. Genuinely asking here because you all actually build things:
**•** Is “finding collaborators for hardware projects” even a real gap, or does everyone already have their people (Discord servers, local makerspaces, etc.)?
**•** Would you actually want a profile that leads with build logs/schematics over a generic portfolio?
**•** What’s missing from how you currently share/find project partners?
Not trying to self-promote — mods here are strict about that and rightly so. Just want to know if this is worth building further before I sink more time in. Happy to share more in comments if anyone’s curious.
