2-3 Week trip, Small backpack recommendations?

I’m planning a trip for 2-3 weeks in May-June of next year to Japan. I plan on bringing a backpack and a tote bag (empty) just having that, buying a duffle or suit case on the way back home for everything I buy. The plan is to travel with just this backpack and bare necessities. 2 pairs of tennis shoes (Ones I wear and an extra pair), 3-4 days worth of clothes, toiletries/medicine & personal items such as passport, Phone chargers and etc. I don’t want to transport or carry a ton of luggage and am saving my shopping for the end of my trip (mainly Tokyo), and use the tote bag incase of anything extra I may buy.

I’m currently looking at a Patagonia black hole for 30L. Around 200$, I tried it in store and liked it. I was wondering before I order anything if there’s other people who have good backpack recommendations for traveling Japan that can carry what I need and be comfortable. I own an osprey but it’s 45 L and WAY too big to lug around Japan. I’m staying in a price range hoping under 220$.
