So this is embarrassing but I need to make this post. I’ll start from the beginning, with the worst regret of my life. In 2020 I became very hyper fixated on myself due to lockdown, I had just graduated & convinced myself that I was balding. (Which is ironic as I now have hair below my pecs now.) I did some research & stumbled upon finasteride, I decided to take it, smallest dose, and immediately the next day completely lost my libido and that primal feeling for wanting a woman. I told my dad about it and he told me I should stop taking it. First time talking about sex with him. I was 20 I Believe or about to be. So I stopped taking it. I took it for maybe a week.

 Initially my erections were ok for a little bit after but then like a month went by and they depleted almost completely. I got a script for viagra, and it worked but I didn’t use it often. I then spent the next 5 years of my life having very infrequent sex w my partner & my erections were barely there & when they were I would prematurely ejaculate all the time. Didn’t really have morning wood. I briefly remember checking my test with a urologist when I was 20, I believe it was 260 (coulda been lower), he completely disregarded TRT at the time due to my age and fertility issues. 

I completely let myself go in like 2022-23, I got up to 260lbs @ 5’9 almost developed fatty liver disease, and by the end of 2024 I decided to change my life, Ive been going to the gym consistently since for the past year and a half or so, got down to 185, currently bulked up to 200, but I’ve tripled in strength, I lift 4x a week at least, do everything possible to increase my T, I sleep 8 hours a day, take zinc, do everything possible. I also take Tadalafil 2.5mg daily & bump it on days I need to. 

The thing is I’m at a point where, the tadalafil isn’t working 100% of the time anymore and idk what to do, I finally brought it up to my dr and she suggested I go to a urologist, which I am on Monday, & we also tested my T & its only @ 290 ng/dL now (10 am test while fasting). I’ve had ED problems for years & now I’m at a point where tadalafil isn’t helping either, I just cant maintain an erection fully during intercourse, which sucks because I’m extremely attracted to everything about my current gf. 

Ig I’m just wondering if I should start TRT now or something else like clomid? What else I should get checked. I feel like I’ve maxed out all my natural options and im tired of this & im sure my partner is as well. My other concern is fertility, I do want to have children In the future. Also worried about my Hair too lol but if it has to go then it has to go lol.

TL:DR : I took finasteride at 20 fucked up my libido causing ED, current test @ 290 ng/dL @ 24 y/o extremely active lifestyle, should I get on TRT?
