Rehabilitative massage therapist looking to transition into therapist role?
I am currently a rehabilitative massage therapist and interested in expanding my work into somatic therapy. I want to go back to school to study psychology, and am planning on moving to Ireland next year. I’m doing some career research to help with my academic planning, and I’m looking for more information on the fields of counseling, psychotherapy, and psychology within the Republic of Ireland.
I am wondering if anyone is personally in any of those fields and practicing in Ireland?
I’m looking at different schools and programs and degrees, and trying to plan a career path.
In my research I have seen UC Cork and SETU have a BA in psychology, DCU and University of Galway have a BSc in psychology. There are also other schools that include counseling in their programs.
I’m curious how the different programs set an individual student on their career path.
If anyone has any insight or educational resources on the above, it would be very helpful and much appreciated. Thanks for the taking the time. :)
