Absence review meeting

Hi,

Just curious what is happening with Asda. I am hearing a lot of rumours about Asda job cuts and my partner works there part time just got pulled into an absence review meeting schedules for Tuesday after calling in sick. Are they trying to get people fired to make up cuts? Since when does someone get into a review meeting because they call in sick?
