Idk if I'm just paranoid but I'm kinda sickened by the prevalence of sexual perversion in music (not just classical, but sorta centered around classical)

Like back in the fall of 2025, I found out that my old high school music teacher and convicted sex offender (against children!) was still celebrated as the principal clarinet of a local orchestra, and I had to raise a big fuss about it. For the longest time, the orchestra was treating it as if *I* was the problem rather than the child abuser in their ranks! And also, at my alma mater, there was a big story in the undergrad newspaper about sexually abusive professors in the music department. For the first time in my 30-year-life, I am growing detached from music and am thinking about focusing on other activities, at least for the short term.
