SUSVARA owners who listen wide range of music, including Hard Techno, Acid, and Hardcore: What is your real lifee experience?

Hi everyone!

I’m planning to swap my Hifiman HE1000se for a Susvara. I also own an HE6se v1.

My musical taste is a bit eccentric: I listen to classical concertos, orchestral works, opera, classic rock, and vocal music. At the same time, I love electronic music,, hard techno, acid, and fast, distorted, high-energy hardcore (artists like Joyhauser, A*S*Y*S, Emmanuel Top, or Trespassed).

I drive my headphones with a high-performance, fully discrete and a massive, pure Class A balanced amp that delivers around 15 watts, so there is certainly no shortage of power or headroom.

I love the speed and micro-detail of the HE1000se, but I sometimes find the sound a bit too thin and sterile. I’m looking for more body and density behind the instruments and the kick drums, yeah, and with all without sacrificing transient speed.

I’ve seen countless reviews praising the Susvara for acoustic jazz and classical music. Yet, I haven’t seen anyone talk about how it handles the dark, brutal side of music, when things get hard and fast. If you own a Susvara, drive it with a high-current, powerhouse amplifier, and listen to a wide range of music, including heavy electronic genres, I’d be curious to hear your opinion:

-how does Susvara handle the transient impact of distorted kick drums?

-What is the instrument separation and texture like in the 20–40 Hz range at high BPMs?

-Just as a completely extra question: how does the Susvara compare to the HE6se in terms of slam? (if you have/had both)

I look forward to hearing about your real-world experience!

Thank you very much for sharing your experiences!
