Rock The Boat

I don’t see a lot of people talking about the conversation Luke & Kristen had on the catamaran on their way back to the hotel.

He starts the conversation with ’at the moment if i had to get married tomorrow, no’. This is the smartest thing he has ever said. Also I love how that shatters Kristen cause as a viewer you’re hoping she sees this man for what he is…trash.

Though I will say he isn’t wrong. Their relationship sucks and they shouldn’t be thinking about marriage.

He says ’we should work through things’ and honestly they have a lot to work through.

The timing of it wasn’t great with Kristen PPD. This probably made her spiral internally. And I mean her response was ‘then why did you get me this ring’. Idk what world she lives in cause I know she sees that the relationship isn’t great. But also why did she jump to that conclusions.

Luke’s idea of working through things out go beyond the emotional stuff. Actually he lists all physical stuff that are probably in his best interest.

then goes on talking about he wants to be flirty and this and that which is a typical man response. Gross.

However the cherry on top was ‘recently you've started to realize that things can be hard for me at the same time they can be hard for you‘.

*cut to Kristen pouting like a 3 year old.*

Luke then realizes that it’s shitty HOWEVER Luke has the upperhand here. The dynamic has changed. This conversation was about something Kristen wants soooooo badly, had it been about anything else, she would have exploded but she stays quite. Because she would rather be quiet and not jeopardize the marriage.

Sidenote: he also says like ‘I gave it to your cause I loved you and wanted to be with you’ UMMMMM SIR do you still love her and want to be with her?

This whole season we’ve seen Luke and Kristen fight over the smalllllest things ever. But the one time that they should have had a conversation Kristen just pouts and cries. Then they show up at the dinner like nothing.

Im not saying Kristen deserved it or anything cause she is battling a lot of new and old demons but it‘s moments like these that show Luke’s true colors and her reactions just leave you wondering.

Luke is dangling this thing (marriage) that she wants so bad. I’m sure her cortisol levels rise up in those moments cause she has abandonment and other issues but I wanna shake her through the screen and scream ’rock the boat girl’!!!
