so i had a thought (what's the use of enslavement path when soul path enslavement is actually superior?), lowe me to dwell deeper on this(it's unfinished yeah Uhm)

soul path and enslavement path have the same foundation/origins

c442:

\> From ancient times, soul and enslavement were of the same origins.

\> Enslavement path was originally split from the soul path, when Gu Masters combined it with the immemorial wisdom path, the enslavement path finally became an independent path.

c870:

\> Since ancient times, soul path, wisdom path and enslavement path were closely related. Since Fang Yuan had obtained Dong Fang Chang Fan’s wisdom path inheritance, he also gained some comprehension of the other paths, as such his attainment in soul path and enslavement path had also increased by a bit.

they have the same origins yes & it's actually one of the reason why i believe soul path enslavement puts enslavement path out of business – soul path enslavement targets the true self & essence of a being whilst gaining absolute control & changes who they are;

c1946:

\> Fairy Zi Wei struggled and resisted with all her strength, but it was all in vain. In her last moment of clarity, she suddenly realized: She was controlled by Spectral Soul, every time she soul searched Spectral Soul, her soul had actually been tampered with slowly. Spectral Soul’s methods were too advanced, she had not been able to detect it at all. She had already been corroded and infiltrated by Spectral Soul’s power, the various decisions she made before Central Continent’s Refinement Path Convention also had Spectral Soul’s influence in them.

\> It was just that Spectral Soul’s interference was small at the start. But later on, this secret influence kept on growing. And now, he could even cause Fairy Zi Wei to be under an illusion.

&

c2057:

\> Fairy Zi Wei’s soul was modified by Spectral Soul, she was loyal to him, she exerted herself in trying to unravel this battlefield killer move

, whereas enslavement path restricts the being(an example would be that it acts as the cerebrum & medulla oblongata of the target)and is more efficient in controlling armies

the downside of enslavement path enslaving(redundancy IK)is still the soul & the target can still break free from it;

\> If the Gu Master's soul is injured or he loses control for even a moment, then the enslaved beings can potentially free themselves, and in the worst-case scenario, turn on the Gu Master"

it's actually funny ngl , soul path enslavement is marginally superior and better , we see this through Spectral Soul ,modifying the target's soul to make it so that loyalty is ensured when used EVEN AFTER THEY DIE – it disregards the mechanics of enslavement path enslavement(having to fight the will & soul of the target)

enslavement path enslavement requires soul foundation to be effective & its way more harder to enslave a human btw however soul path enslavement is actually easy ,look at how spectral soul's feats regarding this(i mean he is the creator of soul path)

that's it for the day .

Soul Enslavement puts Enslavement Path out of business .
