Freezer still randomly gets a TON of frost and ice build up
Okay the last time I posted somebody said my freezer was way too full so I took a bunch of stuff out. It is now definitely not too full. Here are the old photos.
It was totally fine for several weeks and then this morning when I opened the freezer there was a ton of ice buildup all over the food and the ice maker area. I took a look and it looks like the seal at the top corner has maybe not as tight of a closure as the rest of the seal. You can see in the photos that the seal in the upper corner is first and in the seal lowered down is in the third photo.
Could this be potentially causing it? It's confusing because it doesn't happen every day. Like it was totally fine and then all of a sudden massive ice dam.
It's also possible of my partner did not shut the door all the way But it is frustrating then that the door has to be very deliberately shut and not just closed normally.
Is replacing the seal a potential fix? How hard is it to do that? What could have caused this deformation of the seal to begin with?
