Is extraction really so bad?

question

so I have a molar that grew in a little disformed it had an extra buckle on the side. on that extra buckle it started to decay. when I was 20 a dentist said I need it removed and an implant. that sounded crazy to me and I kind of just ignored it. it would only hurt when something touched it in that specific spot so if I just didn’t do that I was fine.

fast forward to age 27 and im like I should get on top of my health. it still didn’t hurt that bad but I want to be responsible now. I go to the dentist he said it’s just some fillings. I get the fillings. the second I bite down in my car I feel it crack, the fillings cracked my tooth. I go back. now i need a crown. I don’t have crown money so I deal with the now increased pain for a year and a half.

two months ago I finally decided to get the crown. it was the most pain I’ve ever been in in my life I had to take ibuprofens religiously and the pain would shoot down my arm. but once I got the permanent crown it went away for about a month. then it started hurting again. I go back. now I need a root canal. I am so tired of shelling over so much money for stuff that fails. I’m $1000 in the hole for stuff that hasn’t worked and now root canal is another $1790 and what if that fails too? is just ripping it out and calling it a day really so bad? also I have a lot of vertigo and sinus issues on that side of my face that my doctor believes may be tooth related but whenever I mention that to the dentist they ”don’t see anything that could be causing that” but this time I looked at the xray and the root of my tooth looks super fuzzy, that’s not normal right ? is a root canal truly going to fix it?
