I'm moving soon (terrifying stressful awful) and my NT family member offered to come help (awesome thank you thank you) but so far it's going like every other time an NT has come to help me with something

Me: thank you so much for offering to help, it would be so great if you could do X for me, it'd really help me out and make this less stressful.

Them: well I'll do Y, and I'll also do B and C

Me: no thank you, I already did B and C, and Y I have all figured out. It would really help me if you could do X

Them: but I can do Y better than you. I don't understand why you don't want me to do it

Me: well I planned Y out when I was organizing this move, and this is already stressful for me, so not getting to execute this step of my plan will mess up some other steps of my plan and make it more stressful for me. Thank you but I would really appreciate if you just do X

Them: well if you don't want me to help why am I coming at all!! What do you even need me for?!

Me: to do X for me and support me while I'm stressed?

Them: but you keep saying you don't want me doing anything!! You must not need any help at all if you don't want the specific help I'm offering!

Versus when I have fellow NDs help me out:

Me: hey, could you do X for me? It'd really help

Them: sure. Do you need help with Y too?

Me: no, I got it handled.

Them: OK. Let me know what else I can help with

But we're the unreasonable ones okayyyyyy whatever
