Base coat

First time posting here. I am new to doing my nails and have been really enjoying having them done. I noticed my nails would start chipping after a couple of days even with nail prep but I wasn’t using a base coat so I decided to buy one. I bought the OPI natural nail base coat hoping it would help. I’ve used it twice now and have noticed chipping even faster than if I were to just not use one! I did my nails last night and this morning I already have a chip! I also noticed it makes my nails take even longer to dry which doesn’t work for me because I am a mom and currently breastfeeding so I have 2-3 hours MAX to do my nails. Does anyone have any recommendations for a base coat that dries fast or ways to help prevent chipping so quickly. I have mostly Sally hansen insta dri or Essie polishes if that matters. And my top coat is currently the red bottle of Sally Hansen insta dri. Any tips or recommendations are appreciated.
