Direct Connect iOS only? Any word on Android support?

Just saw the new Direct Connect feature for the Wireless Pro is iOS-only.

I'm on an S25 Ultra and considering the Wireless Pro. Does anyone know if Android support is coming, or why it's iPhone-only?
