Trust administor challenge
My brother passed away in Louisiana and left a will to create a testamentary trust that names his fiancée who lives in a different state as the trustee. He had a minor child with special needs and an adult child. He did not have custody of the kids. They live in a different state from where he lived. That’s 3 different states. The will have distribution of assets over a twenty five years timeline. Nobody in the family including the children really trusts the fiancée. The attorney who drew up the will only speaks to the fiancée. I don’t know what am looking for, maybe just ranting from grief. Is there anything that can be done so my brother’s kids don’t have this woman in their lives for twenty plus years? Can the kids use a different lawyer to create the trust? Can the trust be moved to their state of residence?
