Anyone have a video camera/camcorder recommendation they used at their wedding?

We can't afford a videographer for the full day and even content creators are a little pricier that I hoped. I've seen people buy video cameras that the guests can use to film whatever they want and it sounds like a fun idea. Has anyone done this for their wedding? Pros, cons, and video camera recommendations are appreciated. Thank you in advance!
