Calling all beagle owners

I have a rather chubby older beagle who is trying to lose some weight. Right now she eats in total a day one cup of dry food and one can of food split up into two feedings. Going to bring her down to just a half a cup of dry food and the one can of food. Curious what other folks are doing.
