New B&W Scribe contantly freezing. Did I get a lemon or are other people having problems with this?

I just my first B&W Scribe a week ago. Love it, but over the past several days, it's started constantly freezing on me. I highlight a lot and every several pages, it still works to highlight but the page becomes unresponsive to touch and won't let me turn to the next page. Then I have to do a hard restart and it works fine until it doesn't and I need to restart again. I just had this happen about 4 times or so in the past hour. I've only had it a week and now it's a regular occurance each time I use it. I googled and searched the subreddit, but am not seeing anything really recent or seeing a lot of people complaining about this. I don't have any pdfs downloaded and only have kindle books purchased through Amazon. I tried on another book to see if it was just one book that was the issue, but I have it on the other book too. I was planning to return to get the Colorsoft scribe, but maybe I'll just return at this point and not replace it.
