New car damaged. Who should pay.

Bought 2026 Kia Sportage on Sunday. On Monday went to work, had to make tight turn and passenger side scrapped the wall. No alarms go off. Take to dealer. Sales team hops in car, one walks all around. Then they take it for a drive close to park cars and walls. Come back and say, no alarms working. Put it in shop, fuse was blown on alert system. Now it beeps everywhere.
Question is, does the dealer have any responsibility to repair the scrapes? They gave me the name of a paint guy and sent me on my way. I know driver was in control, but if the alarms had worked, I wouldn’t have the damage. What’s everyone opinion? Do I pay the paint guy out of pocket or push back on the dealer? Not worth going thru insurance.
