happy girl dinner: pita bread spread with garlic hummus, topped with leftover lentils from last night's dinner and pickled jalapeños for a little bit of ✨️spice✨️

we FINALLY got the humidity in my basement apartment under control! for context, we live right on the Ottawa River in Ontario 🍁 so it is HUMID AF. and we've had very high temps during the day, but now we're back to a comfortable 31°C 💀 we were struggling so bad with the heat and humidity to keep our basement apartment comfortable. we peaked at 82% humidity down here! we have no central air, had small dehumidifers but they weren't keeping up, and neither was our ERV system.

and then I got a bonus from work and we decided F it, I'm 33 weeks pregnant and can't handle this shit anymore, so we bought a PROPER BEHEMOTH of a dehumidifer and girls... I'm dumping this thing 3-4 times A DAY. but WE'RE DOWN TO A 50% HUMIDITY AVERAGE!!! yaaaaaaay!!!! 🥳 we fluctuate now between 47% and 52%.

we also got a portable AC for free from my fabulous in-laws so, while we can't get it as cold as the enjoyable 18°C we love because we are literally polar bears, we are much more comfortable at a dry and non-sticky 21°C.

MWAHAHAHAHA FUCK YOU WEATHER!!!!! I AM THE CAPTAIN NOW 🫡

FINALLY got the humidity in my basement apartment in check!
