New U7 Pro Wall kicked off U7 Pro Max
Hi! I’ve had a U7 Pro Max going for a few months, but I haven’t gotten great service in part of my house so I ordered an U7 pro wall to be able to get better service to that area and my back deck.
I also bought a U7 In Wall which I was originally going to use for this area and use the Pro Wall in my ADU, but I can’t properly hang the in-wall with cutting into the drywall, which I’m able to do (I do construction) but I’m trying to take the path of least resistance at this moment.
I set up the In-wall with no issues, but while adopting the Pro Wall (I had unplugged the In-Wall before starting to hook up the Pro-Wall), it seems to have kicked my Pro Max off completely.
From what I’ve seen in a 5 second search, it might be drawing too much POE, but the In-Wall was fine.
Could it be that the Pro-Wall uses too much power to have both on the same POE switch?
As of right now, the ADU will be using a POE plug for the power so I’m guessing the problem could be solved by going back to the original plan and using the Pro-wall over there. My set up just won’t be as tidy (for the moment, until I can cut a whole and reroute my ethernet).
Thoughts?
