You're born in 1970 with the knowledge you have now. What career path do you achieve the most money through today, only working for Bay Area companies?
As per the title. Assume you can apply anywhere, but can only land jobs you know how to do. You can only work in the Bay Area (so working for IBM in Armonk NY is out, but IBM Almaden is fine).
I chose "money" as a measure of success, but I'd be interested to know if you don't see it that way --
if you might pick a calm, tenured academic career at Stanford as a stable, stress-free life, or running a small family restaurant at the center of your local community.
