Absolute Firefly

I was just thinking about Absolute Batman, and this thought crept up on me.

Before he was a pyromaniac psycho, Firefly was basically an 'evil Batman' like Killer Moth, keeping in mind how some villainous characters become much more heroic in this setting, I wondered if Absolute Firefly might be one of the good guys...and also a pyromaniac.

I see him as being a fusion of Johnny Silverhand and Beam from Chainsaw Man, in this case someone who was rescued from danger and developed an immense devotion to whoever rescued him, his interest in fire turning into a desire to burn the system down to the ashes.

This version of him is likely to work more with DIY technology that he refines over time, gaining access to better flamethrowers and powerful explosives.

He would also be in much better shape, maybe in line with maineline Batman's physique, partially because he's hauling heavy weapons everywhere.

I could see the rescuer being either Harley, Batman or Two Face, and this would affect the nature of his character.

If Harley, then he's a member of the Red Hoods who's probably the most unstable member of the group and frequently called on as their in-house 'muscle', if Batman then Firefly instead manifests as a vigilante imitator who reversed Batman and may have been a former Ark M patient, if Two-Face then he was saved from one of the criminals that were freed, and out of gratitude devoted himself to serving Harvey's idea of justice as his sidekick/bailiff.
