Does India need a gender-neutral law to punish married cheaters ?

I Posted this on another subs but most of them down voted me.

There was a comment where someone ( a user ) said that if the husband cheated then the wife should get alimony and 50% property. If the wife cheated then the husband should get only divorce and no alimony and no property distribution unless it's bought with both wife and husband money.

This comment also got voted down. And then the user deleted the comment.
