Federal minimum wage and Texas thinks you can survive on $7.25 hr

How in the hell does someone survive on $7.25 hr. We have increased 56.21% rate ​since 2009 and our minimum wage is been frozen at this hourly rate since 2009. The government thinks we can survive at this poverty level and wonders why we have such a increased homelessness in the United States. What the hell?? I don't know what the answer is to making it better until our Government/State reworks our minimum wage. Most of these people have small kids that if they don't have family able to help they are screwed! Do they want our people to rely on state food stamps and housing that they'll have to get on a ridiculous amount of a wait list for, child care and health medicaid? I believe they want to keep us in poverty so we'll have to rely on them for our survival. Just needed to vent...
