Lafayette ebayers: USPS “acceptance “ scan suggestions needed

Curious how other local ebayers are getting their packages scanned. Up until a few months ago the main (26) Lafayette post office would always do final acceptance scans of any packages dropped in the “silver” drop box throughout the day with a final one always around 7pm M-F. For months now nothing I drop there gets scanned until the following afternoon unless it’s dropped off early morning which sometimes gets an afternoon scan. I realize going to the counter to request a scan is the old standby but I’m not thrilled to stand in long lines or pester a counter worker for simple scans. What are others doing in town (East side) to ensure getting a timely scan for eBay’s 9pm requirement?
