emergency replacement person (ERP)

i'm wanting to work as an ERP for this upcoming school year while i'm in teacher's college, however i'm having a hard time finding any postings for this. does anyone know if this works from a board level, or a school level? i live in the gta so i'm looking at surrounding school boards (halton, peel, etc.) i'd appreciate any insight!
