Which 3D printer should I get?

I've been meaning to get into 3D printing for two years. Last time I looked, the Ender 3 seemed like the obvious starting point. Now Bambu Lab is everywhere.

Is the ease-of-use difference actually that significant for a first-timer, or is an Ender still valid if you're willing to tinker?

I just want to print functional parts and hobby stuff - not looking for a project in itself. What would you recommend?
