Work life balance question

Reviewing a job offer. I’m so excited to join, but I want to know what I’m getting myself into work life balance wise. I want to get some answers that aren’f from the perspective of someone in the interview process.

For context, the position would be for a project in the discovery area.

What are your hours actually like? I was told work is very cyclical. If there’s a test event or something the hours are longer, afterwords the hours go back to normal.

I’m down to work hard for something that is awesome (which the project is), but is normal 60 hours a week? What’s your normal? How often are your rush periods.
