iFi Zen Phono 3 with iPower X

Unfortunately, my Pro-Ject S2 Ultra phono stage is on the fritz, keeps cutting out and has been for a while, so I ordered the ZP3 to replace it as I've heard good things and it's in sale for £200 atm. (wanted the Schiit Mani 2, but can only order it from the US) Anyway, I have the iPX 5v that was used for my dac but I know longer use it and therefore will use it with the ZP3. Does it really make a difference or is it all snake oil? The IPX came free with my DAC at the time and tbh I could tell a difference with the stock psu, bit sure if it'll be different with phono stage. My cartidge/Stylus is AT-VM740xML for reference.
