sick kitty

for context, i adopted a 2 month old last week. i haven’t had the opportunity to go to the vet yet, and i just discovered pet insurance was a thing so i don’t think it would help me much now considering the “pre existing condition” restriction thing. anyways, shes got a runny nose, refuses to eat, and has barely moved all day. my parents refuse to give me a ride to the vet (long story) and i wouldn’t be able to cover the cost of both transportation AND treatment. i’m kind of freaking out right now, i’ve never owned a pet before. will she be okay the rest of the day while i figure stuff out? is there any way to bring up her appetite?
