Fourth year dilemma

So the scene is a little complicated , I didn't score well in cuet pg so I have kept fourth year as my backup.

I've applied to a university that selects based on merit and I do have a decent cgpa till sem 5.

The problem is , the dates for results and beginning of classes for that uni has not been announced and I can't find last year cut offs to get a sure shot idea that is my cgpa enough to get selected.

I'm planning to continue with fourth year while Waiting for the results of that uni , (because DU classes start from 28th) but incase I get in that other uni can I just leave fourth year ?

Will I still get my 3 year normal degree right ? Even if I drop out from fourth year in August ?
