Logitech MX Keys Combo without any Logitech Software? Or go MX Keys + M series mouse?

I will buy the MX Keys S for my office space at work. I wont be able to intall any software to the work laptop tho saldy.

I figured the MX keys will be fine as the basic functions should work. I got a M650 L laying around and while I like the size, I wish it was as bit wider in my hand. Thats when I noticed there is a MX Keys Combo bundle available.

Will I have a bad time with a Master 3S without any logitech software? I did hear standard DPI is trash (Its just two full HD monitors at work tho so I should be fine?) and that the horizontal scroll wheel wont work without the software either.

So I think it will feel bad using a mouse with all those shiny extra buttons but they dont work at all. Id be fine with all the logitech exclusive features not working, but having a horizontal scroll wheel that doesnt scroll would drive me crazy...

Also: Are there any bolt (!) M series mice that are a bit bulkier/wider than the M650 while still being around 30-40 bucks?
