Has anyone tried talking to Doppelgänger?

I'm not talking about real people who resemble someone, but ghosts that take the form of a person in the house, and when you talk to them they ignore you.

They seem to be blocking any opportunity for conversation, but I'm curious what might happen if someone tried and succeeded in talking to them.
