People play LoL for the same reason they keep pigeons.

Last time I was driving, I saw a shack with a cage full of pigeons on its roof. I wondered why anyone would keep pigeons. They just fly, shit, require a not-insignificant amount of time to look after, and you do not benefit anything from them. Then I asked myself a question. If keeping pigeons is pointless, why would anyone play LoL?
