If a scent smells screechy, off, unpleasant to me, does it smell that way to others?

You know those perfumes. You have run to the bathroom to scrub it off because it's just that bad on your personal skin chemistry. But is it just me that perceives it that way? Or would everyone who smelled it on me find it just as unpleasant?

I'm talking perfumes that are generally popular so it's not a perfume problem, just an incompatibility issue.

Or would it just smell like normal perfume/neutral to others? I don't know if there is a science or something to learn about this.
