Sauna experience

Hi everyone! I'm 21 and I'm from Lima, Peru. I'd like to share my experience of going to a sauna by myself for the first time yesterday.

I've been to a sauna near my house a few times with my dad during the winter. There, we usually follow everyone else's example and wear either shorts or underwear inside the sauna.

Yesterday I had the day off, so I decided to go to the mall to walk around and see some stores. Earlier that morning, I came across an ad about a different sauna and decided to give it a try on my own.

I was a little nervous at first, but once I arrived, the place looked clean and welcoming. In the locker room, I had brought a pair of shorts, a towel, and some briefs because I wasn't sure what the dress code would be. Since the locker room was empty, I couldn't see what anyone else was wearing, so I decided to keep my briefs on and wrap myself in the towel the staff had given me.

Just as I was about to close my locker, two friends walked into the locker room. To my surprise, they were completely naked, only holding a towel in front of themselves. I was a little shocked, but I decided to keep my briefs on and headed inside.

The first area I saw was a lounge with a TV showing the pre-match coverage of the World Cup, and everyone there was wearing a towel. Later, I entered the steam room and saw a group of guys, probably around my age, chatting while wearing only their boxers. That made me feel more comfortable, so I left my towel on a bench and stayed in my briefs as well.

After about thirty minutes, a few more people arrived. They used the jacuzzi completely naked, and in the dry sauna, some of them were even standing and watching the football match through the window without wearing anything. At first, I felt a little hesitant, but eventually I decided to do the same. From then on, I only wore my towel whenever I was in the common area.

To my surprise, it felt incredibly freeing and comfortable. Even though I didn't know anyone there, I felt like I was just part of the group, and nobody seemed to care about how anyone else looked.

Overall, it turned out to be a really positive experience. I'd definitely like to go back and invite some of my friends.
