Need Help Deciphering Old Handwriting

I'm having trouble reading the cause of death on an old Scottish death certificate. It's for Agnes Mulhinch, the first row of the certificate. The second word under cause of death looks like "Excoriation" but that doesn't make sense because it's a 4 week old infant. I'm hoping someone with more experience deciphering handwriting and perhaps with medical terminology might be able to help. I can make out most of the rest of it, just need help with this one important item.
